Gouache Week 3 – Gradient C
More gradient.. I messed up on the bottom part, so ended up painting reflections on a river/lake instead. Don’t panic when you make mistake! Make it work somehow~
Gouache Week 3 – Gradient B
The sun ended up looking like egg yolk. Next time, spend more time on redrawing the mountain until it looked better!
Gouache Week 3 – Gradient A
Slightly successful gradient exercise on attempt no.2. The trick is keep re-adding original paints as the previous layer started to dry up, and add white plus re-wet as needed.
Gouache Week 2 – Rock B
Better result after watching the feedback stream. Got impatient waiting for drying paint, so I didn’t bother to add too much details. Flicking wet paint for texture is fun!
Gouache Week 2 – Rock A
Grumpy rock! I had fun painting this, but forgot to block part of the paper when flicking wet paints. The rock ended up looking like a grumpy Snoopy.
Gouache Week 1-B
Second try of first week exercise. I did better mixing color, but failed painting flat colors, due to too much water, and not waiting to paint to dry before applying more coat.
